Data Harvest

Product Description

The Oxygen in Air solid state sensor measures the partial pressure of oxygen (ppO2) and converts it to an oxygen concentration.

This sensor is not suitable for use in liquid, for aquatic applications use the Oxygen sensor.

Measuring Oxygen In Air

The Oxygen In Air Sensor has temperature and barometric pressure compensation which ensures accurate oxygen concentration readings and enables use over a wide environmental range.

Unlike electrochemical sensors, this sensor is non-depleting which gives a maintenance free lifetime of around 5 years. Once exhausted, the sensor can be returned to Data Harvest to have the sensing element replaced (charges apply).

The SmartQ Oxygen In Air Sensor an be used to investigate a number of scientific experiments such as:

  • Monitoring human respiration in inhaled and exhaled air
  • Exhaled breath before and after exercise
  • Air quality
  • Oxygen changes during photosynthesis and respiration of plants
  • Consumption of oxygen as a measure of respiratory activity of animals, insects, yeast or germinating seeds
  • Decomposition of hydrogen peroxide by the enzyme catalyse
  • Change in oxygen level during combustion
