Drone

Makekit

Product Description

The world's first micro:bit drone!

Air:Bit combines the micro:bits ease of use with the excitement of a drone.

  • It is the world's first ever developed micro:bit drone, combining the relevant skills for mastering the future of technology.
  • It is a STEAM learning kit, which will engage students with a more practical and creative way of learning.
  • It is fully repairable and withstands a lot of crashes.
  • The best of all - it is affordable comparing to other drones.

Subjects covered: (For Teachers)

  • Mathematics: Geometry, angles, algebra, functions
  • Science: Power, batteries, electromagnetism, radio signals
  • Programming: Variables, sensors, radio, LED display, if / else, data transfer
  • Arts and Crafts: Construction and Design (preferably with 3d printer)

Contents:

  • 1 piece Air: bit complete with everything except micro: bit start set
  • Opt for propeller protectors for added safety
  • You will get links to detailed instructions for building the drone as well as code the remote from scratch.
  • Code for remote control and drone for download also included. We use block-based programming with Javascript capability.
  • Additional tasks: sinus function led control, crash detection, Yaw touch control
  • 3d print file for download
  • Extra features are under development, see below

Extensions: (guides are still under development):

  • Create your own remote control or glove that you can control
  • Transform the drone into a cushion boat
  • Measure battery voltage, acceleration with more and show real-time graphs in the make: code editor
  • Programming movements over time (external altimeter recommended)
  • Programmer flips/loop
  • Mount LEDs or buzzer on the drone
  • Mount sonar or lidar for distance measurement, anti-collision and autonomous flight
  • Mount the micro servo and create a flying knit cannon
