Seesaw's tracking reports are based on tagged standard on activities and assessments

Schoolwide Standards allows Admins to choose which standard sets they want teachers in their school to use with Seesaw.

Teachers cannot create Standards. Activities from the Seesaw Library and the School Library automatically have standards attached.  Teachers can review Standards and add or remove Standards from an Activity.  Teachers can also tag Standards to an Activity when creating a new Activity.

Learn how to use standards, track student progress, and grade against your specific standards set:

Tagging, Grading and Reporting - for teachers

As teachers review student work, they'll have the ability to grade standards: by choose the number of stars. This data is rolled up for their class and viewable on the Progress Dashboard which can be used to monitor progress across standards at the class level or the student level.   Step Guide

With Seesaw’s multimodal tools, multilingual learners have a safe space to learn, practice and build confidence while honoring their strengths and experiences:

Speaking
Students use audio recording, video, and screen recording tools to practice without the pressure of performing in front of others.

Listening & Watching
Audio inputs and modeling make grade-level content, complex ideas, and new vocabulary accessible, which drives language acquisition.

Self-Assessing & Reflecting
Students can listen to their recording and progress – a powerful learning experience that builds ownership, motivation, and confidence.

Each subject has 10 base lessons that cover the content area standard, with 3 levels of language acquisition for each lesson.

Entering & Beginning

Students have simple sentences to work within, real-world modeling, and ample practice opportunities

Developing & Expanding
Students expand sentences in oral interaction and written paragraphs, experiment with more specific and technical language, and continue to have opportunities for guided practice.

Bridging & Reaching
Students incorporate specialized or technical language in content areas. They use a variety of sentences and sentence lengths. Oral or written language is comparable to English-proficient peers.
